TUMMP CONCERT BANDS
Our concert band program provides students with opportunities to build fundamental skills, perform exceptional music, and grow as leaders through meaningful performance experiences. From first notes to award-winning performances, each ensemble is dedicated to fostering excellence and a lifelong passion for music.
Concert Ensembles
Middle School Beginning Band
The Middle School Beginning Band is designed for students in grades 7 and 8 who are beginning their musical journey. Students develop strong fundamental skills on their instruments while learning music reading, proper technique, and ensemble performance. Throughout the season, they build confidence and teamwork as they prepare for and perform in their first concerts and community performances.
Jazz Ensemble
The Jazz Ensemble is a select performance group composed of handpicked students in grades 9–12 who demonstrate exceptional musicianship, dedication, and leadership. Members have the unique opportunity to collaborate with local professional artists while performing at exclusive concerts, community events, and special engagements beyond the school setting. Through these experiences, students refine their musical skills, develop improvisation techniques, and represent the program with excellence throughout the community.
TUMMP Symphonic Band
The TUMMP Symphonic Band is the premier concert ensemble of the organization, featuring dedicated student musicians in grades 9–12. Members perform advanced concert literature, challenging classical works, contemporary compositions, and iconic movie scores while developing exceptional musicianship and ensemble performance skills. The ensemble proudly represents the program at Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) adjudicated events, where it has consistently earned Superior Ratings for its outstanding performances. Through disciplined rehearsals and a commitment to excellence, the TUMMP Symphonic Band exemplifies the highest standard of musicianship and artistry within The Unstoppable Mighty Marching Panthers.
