Dr. Angelic Dean has proudly served the Linden-McKinley Band Program as a dedicated volunteer since 2012. Throughout the years, she has worn many hats, including Drum Major Coach, Assistant to the Band Director, Alumni Support Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, mentor, and countless other roles behind the scenes. While her responsibilities have evolved over time, her mission has remained the same: to help the program grow and ensure every student knows they are capable of becoming more than their circumstances or zip code.

As a LMHS band alumna, Dr. Dean understands firsthand the life changing impact of the program. She served as a three-year section leader and Head Drum Major, experiences that shaped her leadership and commitment to service. That legacy has continued through her family, with her sister serving as Drum Major in 2009 and her son proudly leading the band as Drum Major in 2023 and 2024.

Professionally, Dr. Dean is an educator and school leader with a doctorate in K–12 Organizational Leadership. She currently serves as a principal and has dedicated her career to creating equitable learning environments, supporting student success, strengthening school culture, and advancing educator well-being. She is also the founder of The AplusDean's List, where she partners with schools and districts to provide professional development, educator wellness initiatives, trauma-informed systems support, and leadership coaching.

For Dr. Dean, supporting the band program is far more than volunteering. It's giving back to the program that helped shape who she is today. She remains committed to ensuring future generations of students experience the same sense of family, belonging, leadership, excellence, and opportunity that inspired her years ago.
